HeyStranger is designed to be completely private.
The short version
HeyStranger does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics or tracking. The app works fully offline.
What we store
Everything the app remembers — your challenge history, streak, chosen difficulty, and group-game setup — is stored only on your device, by the app itself. It never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or to any third party. We (the developer) cannot see it. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it.
What we don't do
- We don't collect names, emails, contacts, location, or any identifiers.
- We don't use analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs that track you.
- We don't have servers that receive your data.
Notifications
If you opt in to daily reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent anywhere.
Children
HeyStranger is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
